A few thoughts on Responsive Day Out 3
26 June 2015 by
A few days ago, I visited sunny Brighton for Responsive Day Out 3 (subtitled The Final Breakpoint) which was the last of the Responsive Day Out one day conferences, organised by Jeremy Keith (and Clearleft). Nominally, the overarching subject of the day was responsive web design (RWD) (but more about that later).
If you don't know, the conferences are more informal than some others. Yes, there were tickets (a very reasonable £80) but there were no name badges or any other conference trappings. Just turn up, give your name, take a sticker (for getting into the venue) and that's all. Here are a few of my thoughts about the day.

At the Port80 Web Design Conference
28 May 2012 by
Last week I went to the Port 80 Web Design Conference (Twitter) in Newport. The conference was organised by Joel Hughes who wanted to have a web design conference in South Wales. Great credit to him for deciding to do something like this – and then doing it! Here’s my take on the conference.

New Adventures in Nottingham
23 January 2011 by
I’ve just come back from the New Adventures in Web Design conference which was a one day conference in Nottingham. The event was created and organised by freelance web designer, author, and speaker Simon Collison and it was the first event (I assume) under the New Adventures name. Overall I really enjoyed it and here’s my review.

Bamboo Juice at the Eden Project
27 April 2009 by
Last week, I went to the Bamboo Juice web conference which was held at the Eden Project near St Austell in Cornwall. If you have not been there before, the Eden Project is definitely worth a visit and it provided a unique venue and backdrop to the conference itself. Luckily, I have some friends with a hotel in Bude, so it was a no-brainer for me to visit them at the same time. Excellent! Anyway, here’s my quick review of the conference….

11 September 2007 by
Last week, I attended dConstruct 2007 which was a web conference in Brighton. I meant to write a review of the day immediately afterwards but regular work took over. Anyway, here are a few quick thoughts on this year’s dConstruct which had the theme of ‘Designing the User Experience’.
